Chicago Boat Race

Today, we competed in the third annual Race4ROW Chicago Boat Race. This annual competition has been held between Illinois and various collegiate teams in Chicago to benefit Recovery on Water (ROW), a local group of breast cancer survivors who use rowing to stay active and help to keep their cancer in remission.This year, before the racing began, Illinois and DePaul combined to raise an astounding $44,000 for ROW!On the water, the teams competed head-to-head for 4K with an up-and coming DePaul squad that has continued to improve each year.The men's N8 and women's V8 both won their races while the men's V8, JV8, and 2N8 and women's N8 all took close seconds.
