Big Wins at Chicago Indoor

The Fighting Illini capped their Winter Competitive Season at the Chicago Indoor Rowing Championships with podium finishes in almost every event entered. The Illini captured Gold in the Novice Women, Novice Men, Varsity Men, Varsity Lightweight Women, Coxswain Women, Coxswain Men, and Men's Relay Event. The team also made the podium in the Varsity Women (2nd, 3rd), Varsity Men (2nd), Novice Lightweight Men (2nd, 3rd), Novice Women (3rd), Coxswain Women (2nd, 3rd), Women's Relay (2nd, 3rd).Adding to the individual and relay wins, the Illini captured the Men's Team and Women's Team Championships. During this dominant performance, 41 Illini recorded personal records during the event.The Illini will next race on the March 28th weekend. The Novice and JV crews will race at the John Hunter Regatta in Gainesville, GA while the 1st Varsity boats will race in the San Diego Crew Classic.
