Bald Eagle Collegiate Invitational

On Saturday November 3rd we finished off our Fall Season in Indianapolis, IN at the Bald Eagle Collegiate Invitational. Even though we are sad that we are officially indoors for winter training and no longer out on the water, here’s how we did.The day started with the Women’s Varsity 4+ races. Illinois A came in 5th in the A category at 18:13.9 and Illinois B came in 4th of the B category with a 18:59.9. Later in the day two Women’s Varsity 8+s took on the A and B category. WV18+ went 16:43.4 coming in 5th and the WV28+ came in 3rd place with a 18:25.4. They got to take home some nice bronze medals.Illinois Men’s Varsity 4+ took home 10th place in a time of 17:04.8. Right after the women’s 8+ races the Men's Varsity 8+ got their chance to race one last time down the lake. The men came in 11th in the A race with a time of 16:00.2.Overall it was a great day to be an Illini. Now it is time to #YankTheChain!
