ACRA 2018 - Recap
Last weekend, from May 26th to May 27th the team traveled to Gainesville, Georgia to race at ACRA. The weather caused Saturday's racing to begin with time trials.With a time of 6:08.2, the men took 30th out of 32 on Saturday. Following this race, the men placed into the Varsity 8+ D Final and finished with a time of 6:26.23 placing 6th out of 8th. This ends the rowing careers of Will Klock, and Mike Coumans.The second race on Saturday was the Womens Varsity 8+ time trial. The women finished strongly with a time of 6:51.4, placing 9th out of 16th. Later, they raced in the Womens Varsity 8+ semi-final with a time of 7:30.103, placing them in the B final. On Sunday, they excelled placing 1st with a time of 7:08.715. This ends the rowing career of Lindsey Cusack and Zoe Zapel.The Mens 2nd Varsity boat fought hard in their time trial finishing with a time of 6:41.6. In their Semi, they finished with a 7:40:518 placing them in the B Final. Sunday, they ended their race with a 7:11.436. This ends the rowing career of Daniel Dominguez.Additionally, our Womens 2x Time Trial ended with a 10:03.7 and a 11:08.05 in their Semi on Saturday, placing them in the C Final. On Sunday, they finished the pair with a time of 9:46.213.Finally, the Womens Lightweight Varsity 4+ ended their time trial with a 8:03.0 and advanced to the A Final. On Sunday, the lightweights outstandingly placed 3rd with a time of 8:08.267 and earned a medal for their finish.In conclusion to a great season, we also awarded our high achieving student athletes.All-Region teams winners:1.
