Spring Break and John Hunter 2019

Once again, our team made the journey down to Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia for our first week back on the water. Saturday March 16th- Friday March 22nd our rowers got in lots of water time.

Saturday March 23rd was the John Hunter Regatta. The team put in some great times for the first 2k races of the year. We raced a WV8+, WV2-, WV4+, WN4+, WN8+, MV4+, MLWT4+, and MN4+.

In the women's boats the results were...

WV8+: 8th place

WV2-: 2nd place

WV4+: 8th place

WN4+: 5th place overall (4th in heat, medals were handed out by heat)

WN8+: 7th place

In the men's boats the results were...

MV4+: 12th place

MLWT4+: 6th place

MN4+: 20th place overall (5th in heat, medals were handed out by heat)

We saw lots of solid racing out of our crews. The teams we raced are ones we might not see until ACRA so it was nice to feel out the competition and know how to better improve ourselves. Special congrats to the Women's Varsity Pair on their silver medals.
