Novice Women to be Honored at Sept. 23 Volleyball Game

Sunday, Sept. 23 • Wisconsin at No. 20 Illinois • Huff Hall • 1 p.m.

The University of Illinois Women's Crew which won the Novice Women's 4+ at the ACRA Championships will be honored during a break in the Illini Women's Volleyball game against Wisconsin this Sunday. Admission to the game is free for all students with your ICard.The Women’s Rowing Team won gold in the Novice Women’s 4+ at the American Collegiate Rowing Association Championships on May 26th, 2012 in Gainsville, GA. The crew consisted of coxswain Samantha Sanders, stroke-seat Meridith Kisting, 3-seat Danielle Saubert, 2-seat Julia Briscoe, and bow-seat Sandra Peters. 3-seat Danielle Saubert also earned 1st Team All-American honors. She was the only Novice Women to earn such an honor last year, and the first Illini to ever earn a spot on the All-American team.Please come up to support the Women's Rowing and Volleyball teams this Sunday.
