Illinois Finish Down on National Leaders in 18th Don Lubbers Cup

The Illini traveled to Spring Lake, MI to race the #2 ranked University of Michigan Men's Club and #2/#3 ranked Grand Valley State Women's and Men's Clubs. The Illini took third in the Varsity and Novice Women's 8+, with a notable win over DI school Eastern Michigan. The Men's team struggled against the extremely deep field, but managed to finish 4th in the Men's Novice, Men's Junior Varsity, and Men's Varsity 8+'s. The Men's Novice managed to upset Michigan State, while Michigan State shocked both Illinois and University of Michigan when they claimed second behind Grand Valley in the Varsity 8+.
