Illini Indoor this Weekend

The Illini Rowing team will be competing in the Illini Indoor this Sunday at 11am in the ARC. The Illini Indoor is the teams annual team competition to showcase their skills going into the Spring Season. The team will compete against one another in a 2000m test on indoor rowing machines. The athlete's performance will be tracked on projector screens so anyone can see their progress through the races. This full uniform practice will be a great showcase for the coming season. This season holds a lot of promise for the Fighting Illini. Last fall saw the Novice Women's Team go undefeated against club varsity teams and the Novice Men's team secure gold at the Quad Cities Classic for the second year in a row and Bronze at the Head of the Rock behind Minnesota and Michigan. The Women's Varsity 8+ is also on track to become Nationally Ranked this Spring, along with the Varsity Men's Squad who will look to make the Grand Finals this year at Nationals. After a Triple Gold performance two weekends ago at the Indianapolis Indoor, the Illini Indoor should be a great preview for the season to come.
